LEO'S CORNER 

For August Leo would like to offer up a bit of an economical solution of his own:

Did you know that even with our gas prices coming down a bit - we are still paying about $.50/mile to drive. So if you go from Disneyland to Zlaket's Market you are paying $5.00 for gas round trip. You haven't even begun to eat yet, and you've already spent five bucks.  Now, do the math for your night out going to your favorite steak house. Let's use Ruth's Chris as an example - if you go to the one in Newport Beach, you're driving 12 miles (from Zlaket's) - round trip that'll cost you $12 in gas. Now, the fancy dinner comes, you've had an appetizer or two (a la carte of course), along with some side dishes (a la carte of course), and don't forget dessert (extra), and maybe even a coffee or a cocktail (extra, extra). Oh yes, and then there's the 25% you pay above the cost of dinner in tax and tip (July's math lesson, remember?)...the solution?
